Deborah Clarke is a community artist based in Dorset and has been working with clay for over 20 years. Creative Clay For All was set up to provide fun and inspiring mobile clay workshops for groups that have no access to clay. Working with schools, museums and community groups. Not all schools have kilns or an experienced ceramicist to facilitate high quality inclusive clay workshops. Creative Clay for All can bring the clay workshops to you, giving the children an opportunity to experience clay. Classes are tailor made to fit in with the curriculum topics the children are exploring. Using pattern, texture, shape and form children can explore, observe and develop their own creative and imaginative ideas. Clay can be used to interpret 2D designs into a 3D reality. Pupils can investigate and respond to direct sensory experiences to realise their creative potential and improve their manual dexterity. Options include pupils making individual curriculum based pieces or group outdoor clay installations including tile projects

Testimonial

Just wanted to say what a fantastic week we have had completing our artist in residence project - the children loved their session with Debbie and the children were all highly motivated, excited and inspired
