Peter Davis
Portrait Painter
I deliver portrait workshops to primary and secondary schools across the UK. They can be tailored to suit the specific needs and budget of your school, and to align with AQA’s GCSE Fine Art specifications. I offer full-day, half-day, or hourly workshops, available as one-off sessions or as part of a longer programme delivered over several weeks or months. My teaching style is practical and supportive, and designed to bring out the best in each student.
I am a professional fine artist with paintings held in both public and private collections. I have twice been shortlisted for Artist of the Year by Artists & Illustrators, the UK’s leading art magazine. In 2020, I was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize, Britain’s foremost contemporary painting competition, and in 2024 for the Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Prize (formerly the BP Portrait Prize) at the National Portrait Gallery. I am also an elected member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA) and the Contemporary British Portrait Painters (CBPP).
Testimonial
I highly recommend Peter's workshops. Not only is he an amazing inspirational artist, but he's also highly organised and well prepared and most importantly willing to share his expertise. My students gained a lot from his sessions, and I'm sure yours will too!
