Seungah Lee
No Frame Art & Education
I am the director of No Frame Art & Education (2023) that offers creatively challenging workshops, CPD sessions, using the process based learning which has enabled many students turning into artists. *To see my former students fully personalised and original work, celebrated by numerous awards including those of Royal Academy of Arts, please click the link to No Frame Website.
No Frame has evolved from my 13 years’ experience working as an artist teacher in the U.K. Following my PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University, I worked in the secondary education sector, at a British mainstream school (11-18) and a private international college (16-19).
My educational philosophy is student-centred learning and teaching in order to be able to offer opportunities for pupils to practice issue-based art in a contemporary way. With tailored tuition and an authentic approach, the Making Process can endow vital qualities to students to think and work like an artist and use art as a tool for individual expression.
With my international background, as a South Korean, I understand how unique and valuable this process is and wanted to share this globally as well, by offering appropriate support for both international students and their teachers.
Testimonial
Seungah made a magic in the art department. It went from lifeless and dull, to vibrant and very, very present. Seungah realised my vision for the art department in ways that I did not know.
