Suprya is an art educator, who has a background in fashion design. Creative Making specialises in fashion art and illustration, modern portraits and botanicals as well as combining these elements, working with a range of styles and techniques, including acrylic, watercolour and pen, as well as collage and print making. Being a trained teacher who has worked in secondary schools in the UK, she sets out sessions in a structured way, giving students the tools and techniques, and encouraging unique work to ensure every student gets value and is able to progress whether it be a series of workshops or a single session. Suprya is passionate about students of all ages accessing and developing their creativity and technical ability within and beyond the curriculum. Creative Making has been running workshops in the community since 2021, which have been embraced by young people and families. Among the series of workshops held over the past two years are "Where Fashion and Art Collide", "Pop art Printed portraits", "3D and collage winter scenes", "Drawing Nature" and "Fashion Illustration". Prior to teaching, Suprya designed her own label of womenswear and accessories, produced in India, which retailed in boutiques in the UK and the US.
Suprya is organised, hardworking and resilient as well as passionate for the Arts. Her projects demonstrate her creative and technical ability, which benefits her students - Anthea Hearne - Dudman, Heathside School, Weybridge, Surrey.
