SUMMARY:Writing really good conference abstracts
DESCRIPTION:Demystify the abstract writing process and discover practical tips for writing and submitting abstracts to academic conferences and publications.\niJADE has a long history of encouraging the participation of those new to presenting at academic conferences and writing for publication. \nThis practical session is for anyone – including educators\, researchers and artists – who would appreciate time to explore how to write a good conference abstract or get their work ready for academic journals\, such as the International Journal of Art & Design Education. \nThe session will look at what conferences organisers might be expecting in an abstract\, the format that abstracts are expected to follow\, and questions that authors may want to ask themselves whilst writing them. It will discuss how a conference abstract connects to the formal abstract submitted with a written academic paper for journal publication. \nIncluding practical tasks as well as sharing of good practice\, we hope that the session will not only prepare participants for submitting papers to the 2027 iJADE conference\, but will be useful for anyone interested in presenting at conferences more generally. \nSession aims: \n\nTo demystify the abstract writing process for conference presentation papers.\nTo provide practical tips for writing academic conference abstracts (including but not limited to the iJADE conference).\n\n  \nRegister for the workshop\nThis workshop is open to both members and non-members of NSEAD and free to attend. \n_____ \nAt NSEAD we believe our events should be an inclusive\, and accessible experience for all.
